COURSE DESCRIPTION

Commerce stream refers to the field of study that deals with various aspects of business, finance, trade, and economics. It is one of the two streams that students can choose from in their higher secondary education at sigma public school, the other being science. In commerce stream, students study various subjects related to business, economics, and finance. These subjects include Accountancy, Economics, Org. of commerce, Statistics, Secretarial practice, English and optional subjects. The higher secondary education typically lasts for two years, with the final examinations being conducted by the state boards. The final examination results are a crucial determinant for admission to undergraduate courses in commerce-related fields such as B.Com, BBA, and CA. Students who complete their higher secondary education in commerce stream can pursue undergraduate courses in various fields such as accounting, finance, banking, management, economics, and law. They can also opt for professional courses such as Chartered Accountancy (CA) and Company Secretaryship (CS) after completing their undergraduate studies. Overall, commerce stream in higher secondary education provides students with a strong foundation in business and economics and equips them with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue a career in the field of commerce.
