Science
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Higher secondary education refers to the two years of schooling that follows the completion of the 10th grade. The science stream is one of the two streams offered at Sigma Public School, along with commerce.
The science stream is designed for students who have a strong aptitude for mathematics and science subjects. The subjects that are typically included in the science stream curriculum are physics, chemistry, mathematics, and biology. In addition, students may also be required to study English and optional subjects.
The science stream curriculum in India is designed to prepare students for careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. The curriculum is structured to provide students with a strong foundation in the fundamental principles of science and mathematics, as well as to develop their analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills.
In addition to classroom instruction, students in the science stream are also required to complete laboratory work, projects, and assignments. These activities are designed to provide students with practical experience and to reinforce the theoretical concepts they learn in the classroom.
At the end of the two-year program, students take a board examination, which is a standardized test that assesses their knowledge and understanding of the subjects covered in the curriculum. Based on their performance in this examination, students may qualify for admission into undergraduate courses in various fields of science, engineering, medicine, and technology.
